Part of the viXeon proposition is that you have a single platform, with the option to deploy multiple operating environments. All viXeon servers are tested with three primary operating systems, Windows, LINUX and MP-RAS, a proprietary UNIX version found in NCR and Teradata environments.

MP-RAS

NCR has long been recognized for their ability to support the most demanding computational transaction environments. MP-RAS is a UNIX product which represents the highest levels of Reliability, Availability and Serviceability.

The Harwood viXeon servers have been tested with a set of hardware componentry, unique to the MP-RAS environment where the power of server is used to drive powerful solutions where security and performance can not be jeopardized.

MP-RAS and viXeon servers have been integrated to support storage systems from Engenio Information Technology. This same storage powers the world’s largest commercial databases and when deployed with viXeon servers, can extend the reach of this platform to deliver incremental cost savings achieved through reductions in both service costs and administration of multiple, heterogeneous server and storage systems.

Available as either Client Server or NFS versions, MP-RAS can be purchased in a "pay as you grow manner"; allowing you to match each server / operating system combination to its’ own environment.

LINUX
